The Bridge in the Jungle by B. Traven, Regarded by many as B. Traven's finest novel, The Bridge in the Jungle is a tale of a simple, desperately poor people coming together in the face of a death that affects them all. The locale is "huts by the river", a nameless Indian settlement deep in the Mexican bush, too small to appear on any map. A festive gathering that has attracted many Indians from neighboring settlements is about to begin, when death marches silently in. A small boy has disappeared. As the intimation of tragedy spreads among the people gathered in the jungle clearing, they unite, first to find the lost boy and then to console the grieving mother. Traven never allows an iota of sentimentality to enter his story, but the reader finishes The Bridge in the Jungle with renewed faith in the courage and dignity of human beings.
Grammy Award for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album - The Grammy Award for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album has been awarded since 1984. The award has had several minor name changes: New Mexican Food - New Mexican food is a type of regional cuisine that originated in the US state of New Mexico. Although many New Mexican dishes are similar to Mexican and Tex-Mex offerings such as enchiladas and burritos, New Mexican food is actually very different. Cross-console emulation - Cross-console emulation involves using one video game console to emulate an older or less complicated console. Basically, the newer console takes the place of a computer, and runs the emulator software which plays the games. Console emulator - A console emulator is a program for a computer, or other computing device, that can emulate a video game console or handheld, so a computer can be used to play games that were created for that console or to develop games for that console. Such tools are often used to translate games into other languages, to modify (or hack) existing games, or to produce homebrewed demos.
